It’s been a long time since there’s been a train line in this region, in fact not many people know that once upon a time there was one, but that one carried iron and was a long time ago.  Now with the upcoming train line being installed, some might reflect that with the growth and changes that have affected the coast in so many areas over the years and the modernisations that have taken place, a rail line might be a long time overdue.

Indeed few remember that it wasn’t that long ago that San Pedro and Puerto Banus were fishing villages and harbours.  The coast has changed significantly and rapidly over the years as the population has grown with both the Spanish and a large amount of expats coming to enjoy the various benefits of the Coast and with the large amount of businesses that have grown organically as a result of this and as those born in the region grew up.

We know that it can sometimes be a daunting prospect when buying property in a foreign country especially when there seems to be so much conflicting information flying around the web on the buying process.

Due to this, we will be populating the site on a regular basis and adding to the content that we already have, more information on living in Spain and other important aspects such as obtaining your NIE number and information on the Spanish Social Security System for both employed and self employed workers.

So please return frequently as it is our aim to not only present you with a wide range of properties for sale, but also to provide you with all the information you need to make your purchase or even your life in Spain that little bit easier.

We have now added two new guides which are schooling in spain and our guide to the cost of living in Spain.

If you are buying a property on the Costa del Sol or any other region of Spain and have children, schooling is probably something you need to consider seriously. It’s a big step moving to a new country but evening bigger when you have to take the childrens schooling into cosideration.

Its also important that you are aware of the costs of living in Spain and how the move to Spain will affect you financially.

Two further guides to our local town guides have been added today including a guide to Fuengirola and a guide to Alhaurin el Grande. If you are looking to purchase property in these areas, these guides will hopefully give you further information on the towns and why you should invest in property there.

Yesterday we added another local area guide to the site for Marbella. The marbella guide aims to give you an overview of Marbella and we will also be adding important contact numbers and information to the guide in the near future.

We have started to add more content to the PGM website in the form of local area guides. We have started with a guide to Mijas but will continue to add more guides over the coming weeks.

The guides will not only contain general information on the local towns of the costa del sol but also important information, contact numbers and email addresses of town halls, police and other emergency services. We will also hope to add information on local tradesmen and businesses.
